Well went to the track for the first time in my truck... It was kinda pathetic, but everyone has to start somewhere... Looking over the logs I spun pretty good every single time... 4.10s, TruTrac and new tires are definately next...
It was just a 1/8th mile track since no other 1/4 tracks were open.... Anyways besides one legged wonder, 3.42s and crappy stock pizza cutter tires I thought it did decent. OH and the tune was all screwed up, I have not got to finish tuning the truck so my AFR and timing are all jacked up. Anyways enough excuses...
60 - 2.420
1/8 - 9.839
MPH - 74.34

Yeah it was pretty fun, except the very first run I over staged about a truck length cause I did not know where the staging was, and the track guy got mad at me for having my heater on, dunno what that was about. I am going to work on my tune and I am going back in two weeks. Oh and doing a very small burn out (just to clean the tires) sucks when only one tire spins.... I felt like some kind of retard, especially after over staging... I need more practice. Oh and I spent about an 30min trying to figure out how to BlackBox log. All in all it was fun, I met dlt76028 (David) up there and did some logs for him..

You have to start somewhere. Thats all the fun in it for me. Spend a little money and time, go to the track and see what it did. Along the way you learn how to drive it a little better and meet up with guys that share the same interests.
Don't get down about it. Have fun!

I am not down about it at all, it was really fun!!! I was not expecting much, so no real disappointments, I mainly just wanted a starting point. In the next couple of weeks I am going to buy/rent some dyno time to do some more tuning, I found a local place $100 for 6 pulls or 2 hours. I tuned alittle bit at the track, but I think the dyno might be better.
