my ext cab went 16.3 bone stock, full weight, street tires with the 4.8/auto. You 5 speed should have a little more in it with proper take off and rowing thru the gears. You still running the stock shifter????
When I had a reg cab 5 speed, I swapped that stocker for the $30 ebay one, it made a huge difference in shifting it fast and accurate. I dont know why, it did have a slight curve to it, but it just felt more positive rowing thru the gears.
