Default First 1/4 Mile with new truck

I took my truck out for the first time to the track last night. The conditions were less than favorable but the truck seemed to run well. It was about 84 degrees with close to 100% humidity at sea level.

My first pass was on stock tire pressure and it turned out to be the best. I was at 35psi on the stock tires. The truck is a crew cab, 2wd vortec max and the only mod it has right now is a corsa sport cat back.

My 60' times were identical on all three passes that I made. All of them were 2.34. My G80 wasnt locking so maybe if it was working properly times might have been a little better.

The best time was as follows.

2.34 60'
9.90 1/8th
15.3 @90 in the 1/4

I think 14s will be very easy with just a tune and intake. I have an outlaw intake on the way, and plan to use a diablo tuner for now.

Im thinking in the back of my mind that when my other truck is sold, a radix might be on the way but am worried about the lq9 with a radix. What do you think?

Well i dont expect much just from the intake, but I think the tune is where its really at. I think a tune alone should net me in the 14s

4 tenths from a CAI? That's asking alot imo, considering among other things, where he's racing.

Better air might help, but you can't hold out for that, based on my experience at Moroso. You're at the perfect altitude and humidity is your biggest enemy. There are few days with low humidity in WPB. There was a time they printed humidity on the timeslips, but I haven't seen that in years. Of course, I haven't raced at Moroso in a long time either.
