Default Finally made it to the track tonight!!

It is only an 1/8th mile track, but at least I got myself to one. I think I did pretty good for having stock street tires, 3.08 gears, and it was my first time actually racing at a track. Here's my best time, let me know what you think.

Reaction: 1.262
60 Ft: 2.106
330 Ft: 5.893
ET @ 594 ft: 8.370
1/8 ET 8.928
MPH 80.53

Hopefully, at some point, I can get some better tires, and put my 3.73's in. I'm going to have to go shopping for tires soon, I blew one and had to throw the spare on.

well congrats! It's a freaking blast isn't it?! I think sub 9 at 80+ is pretty good for your very first time out! You definitely need to focus up on your reaction time but the 60' isn't bad at all!
I have a check list in my head that I run thru as I come up to the pole, I inevitably always forget to do something!

It was loads of fun, I'm also thinking of making it a weekly ritual myself, at least when it's in season. I think i'd have a hard time hooking up in the snow.

2.10 60' times on a 3.08 gear is impressive! get some 3.73's or 4.10's in there and hold on!! ofcorse the car in the other lane is already almost at the 60' mark by the time you react practice makes perfect

Almost every time I went up, they put me next to cars with slicks running 125 mph in the high 5's low 6's. I hadn't a chance with them, but I did get to race a v8 conversion in an s10 with slicks and I beat him. Also beat one of those 350z cars that I don't know much about, other than someone told me they were fast. He didn't seem too happy, especially after the second time around and I got him again.
