The 30" tires I mentioned before would be my "everything" tires. If I end up finding a job that pays well next summer (just worked my final day for this summer, got laid off for good), I'll try to get my hands on some slicks/DRs.

I'm crossing the stripe probably no higher than 4k, I'll have to find a calculator to be sure. The only thing that worries me about going to a slick/DR and running in 2wd, is that I've got an open rear. Hooks fine in 4wd, but I don't know if I'll hook in 2wd even with stickies.

What is your converter locking at under WOT?? I am running 410's and a 28 inch slick, locking the verter at about 100, cross the traps @ 52-5500 in 3rd gear

It sucks that you have manual transfer case and cant shift back, that would be ideal

good times man...i cant wait for spring to finally cam this thing..i hate having these heavy *** tall 24s lol..if some dog didnt **** up my rims i would be swapping to some 20" TBSS wheels on a smaller tire, but that isnt happening any time soon..
