Its time to work on the suspension on my truck. Has anyone used Competition engineering c2616 shocks? They look good to me. I was thinking about trying a pair.

kyb monomax shocks in my rear and im cutting 1.69 60 ft with mine n/a

 

Is your truck lowered? If not, throw some slicks on it and see how it does. Mine is completely stock except for edelbrock IAS shocks front and back. I manage 1.5x short times on a good tire and no suspension mods.

 

I used a friends set of 28 12.50 et streets and the trucks front end snaps up real quick in the video and falls real quick. I thought getting the front end looser to lift futher and easier might keep the tires planted instead of unloading them so quick. I managed a 1.79 60 ft on a good track the other day on a lil 255 drag radial. 10 year old suspension with 2.5" shackles and front clamps on the overload spring.

 

I use Cal-tracs and Bilsteins....been working for me. Most of the 454ss guys run Caltracs with QA1 adjustable shocks.
