Are you sure you need longer gears than 4.10's with that 80e? You should be good to almost 55 or so since 1st gear is so much longer in that tranny even with the 4.10. Will you still blow through 1st without loading up the turbo? The 4.10 will help you on the big end since 3rd gear will match much better with the trap speed you need to run 11's (over 110).
I think I'm on the same page as everyone else... throw a verter in there and you got it.

You should get there traction permitted.. A converter will most def help.. As far as gearing goes, turbo's tend to like higher gear, but seems you were steering that ay anyway.. Good luck

The combo of 4.10's and stock converter, and hitting it with the n20 might work surprisingly well at the track(with slicks), as far as keeping traction and getting that truck moving out. The cam he has listed isn't very big. I'd give it a try before regearing it and buying a converter, but that's just me.

I think its possible... but 11s can be tough to get. I think Chris(lownslo) went high 11's with stock converter and 3.73's. Where do you plan to attempt this run.. ill be back at hub when she opens up so if its there you will see me I'm sure.

Almost exact same setup minus the cam, I went 11.93@114 at hub. That was a mt 295/45/17 radial and full street trim, I never took anything off the truck to run, I always wanted to know exactly what it was just like I drove it. Looking back a converter would be the best move to make at your stage. Then you know you got 11's. Nonnie got my tune close and it ran good, took it to Geoff and put it on his dyno and had him finish it up and made 100 more hp...... def worth the time and money unless nonnie has time to spare at the track with ya and a wide band to get it perfect.

My converter is out of a 04 2500 hd. I usually run here locally at finish line drag strip. (lucas) some of you local guys ought to ride to that track sometime. It's ok. Not as good as hub though. But its easy to stir up some friendly races though. Lol

Nice, i need to go somewhere new.. Im very well known at Hub and around the Hattiesburg area. Been racing out there for almost 15 years with several cars so its hard to get a race, because all the regulars know what each of us run.. lol. I have been to Lucas a few times but it was years ago not in my truck.
