A single tech card is all you need to run all damn day in enough classes to keep you in the lanes and out of the pits. Got Depends?

The bracket classes are foot break only. You can use your two step or a transbrake in the heads up classes though.

You can deep stage, but I suggest you go in first and be ready to turn off the top bulb as soon as you see the other guys pre-stage bulb go on, otherwise autostart will kick in and you could foul.
sounds good to me! im up in the air about it since its on the same day as one of my points series races at etown but i do think this would be more fun

No payouts, just some trophies. This is a track rental event, and there won't be enough cars to put together any kind of payout. I'd like to though, so if we can grow the event then who knows what next year might bring.

makes sense on being a rental. in that case its well worth the 65 being they normally get over a 100 usually 200 for a rental day. i hope some of these other guys from here go.. cough cough ahemmm... i wouldnt want to be a lonely truck with all these impalas and caprices i see haha

Yes, unfortunately the date will change.

Thanks for all those that voted, and it was a VERY close call, but the new date will be...

Drum roll please....

The NEW date for the Northern Super Heavy Shootout is:

SATURDAY MAY 19TH

This was just the best date all the way around as it fits better with almost all other car clubs as well as the ECIRS schedule, and keeps with the tradition of a Saturday night blowout party back at the hotel. The long haulers can then have Sunday as a day of travel and others a day of recovery.

I hope that those that were not able to attend before can now find a way to make it, and I apologize to those that will no longer be able to attend due to conflicts with the new date. Hopefully next year, if there is a next year, we won't have to go through this again because the track work will be done. Also, and to that end, I'll plan it for a little later in the spring as March is just too damn early for most.

Anyone that has already pre-paid that now needs a refund, just send an email to admin@ecirs.org.

Well this gives me more time to source a tow vehicle. I was planning on driving there, then Cincinnati Ohio, then back to Charleston, SC. About a 1700 mile road trip!

Sounds good. I thought we were going to be some of the firsts on the new surface!
