Default tell me what you think

I ran my truck and got the best motor and nitrous pass ever. On the 100 shot it ran 8.48 @ 82.09 with a 1.96 60 ft. Then the motor pass was a 9.39 @ 75.8 with a 2.18 60 ft. The passes were on 28'' et streets. I am thinking that if replace my front 20's with 16's and remove my speakers and hitch then It may be good for a 8.2 1/8 mile pass and maybe a 12 sec pass at the 1/4 mile. What do you think?

I bet it has to do with where you live because it takes takes us west texas guys plenty of mods to get our trucks into the low nines. Modded Harley trucks with tune, smaller pulley, intake, exhuast and other mods pull mid 9's where in other tracks the same truck gets high 8's. Here a stock 5.3 EC truck will run no better than a 10.5 @ 66-69 mph, and the same truck will get you way better times in other places. It is wierd how stock trucks in other areas are getting the same times that we do with major mods. Perhaps our first mod should be to move. lol

Its a very good time if that's what your asking, but why only a 35 shot? The fastest Hemi in my town is an old man that always wins the truck braket races because he runs a consistent 9.56. Besides him all other hemi's including daytona's and rumble bees cannot drop below a 10.3 @ 66-69.

part of the reason for the slower times is you are in Odessa and the altitude density has got to be way up there... The reason for the 35 shot is: first install testing, shakedown runs... I have been sidelined since and have not been able to up the shot....

Oh yea.... the old man that is always winning... I will be willing to bet, he goes by the handle HemiGoat on DTW... and his 9.5s turn into 9.0s at HRP.... yours will drop by a similar amount if you pay us a visit....

They closed our old 1/4 mile track already so I am thinking of running somewhere else before the season is up. I would love to run in houston or san antonio but 6 hours travel is too much for just racing. I may travel to lubbock and run at Lubbock dragway but what sucks is that they test and tune on sundays only.

tarinitup-thanks for the build-up. This is the old man. haha My best at DTR is a 9.40 now, with several other runs in the 9.40s. Nice runs you have made. Have you throught about San Angelo's track? I think they are open maybe one or two more times, could be wrong.

This is my first post and trying to get the hang of it. I like the layout of this website.
