Don't listen to that clown. Basic bolt ons, good tune, good cam and a decent converter with a 125 shot will probably get you there. I had my 5800lb crew cab 4x4 running 14.2 with a 5.3, baby 206/212 cam, mail order tune and little tt2600 converter. Your truck is lighter, can use bigger cam, and a 125 shot. Should easily take 1.2 seconds off. Just my opinion though.

Oh, and ditch the 20's for some stock 16's. That's a few tenths right there at your power level. It's 100x easier to go from a 16.4 to a 15.4 then it is to go from a 11.4 to a 10.4 if that makes sense.

Should be interesting.
My first baseline was 1/8 mile stock with 4.56 at probably 5800 lbs
ran 10.5 without SC think 10.3 or 10.2 with. (in crappy air)
anyway that would have returned high 15's to low 16's in the 1/4
Took a few mods, shedding some weight and dr's to hit low 13's stock block,at a little over 5000 lbs. ( should run 12's NA if I ever try in decent air)
Then a little juice and I'm running very low 12's..
and trying to crack open the door to 11's
so sure it might be unrealistic to expect to get that sort of gain, but not unrealistic to actually accomplish it.

When I started, with those mid ten sec 1/8 miles passes it was totally unconscionable I'd run the 1/8 in the mid 8's let alone 7.5's
You just have to mod and try keep chipping away at it.
That's the funnest part anyway
