Better run some Hylomar on those copper gaskets.

That sixty foot looks good without warming up the tires.

Stick with it man; you already accomplished some pretty unbelieveable feats with a heavy *** 4wd, there's a 9 second slip in there somewhere I'm sure. How much boost are you running now and how big of a shot are you spraying?

i just ordered another set of the ics titan copper head gaskets($$$ ). they did last me a long time. i saw a few deg of knock on a lot of runs before they let me down.

this will give me a chance to clean up the chambers too.

i just want to sometimes. i look at the runs i have had the past 2 trips to the track and i could have had a nine had i done things differently. 2 weeks ago i was full weight and ran a 10.11, with 190lbs less weight it probably would have been a nine. last sunday i ran a 10.11 with a 1.61 60'. if i had warmed up the tires there is a good chance for a low 1.5 60' and likely a nine.

depending on the weather i am using between a 125shot and a 175shot to get me moving. 2weeks ago it was cold and a 125shot hit hard. 2 days ago it wasn't as cold and a 150shot didn't hit hard enough. truck was running hard 2days ago for the boost level i was at. around 17psi is all and not a great 60' so i am making progress. maybe next time. i am going to try and hit the track again on sunday.

Jim, is your block o-ringed? If not a machine shop should be able to do it with the engine in the truck. At least I don't see any reason why not. The groove cutter for the wire ring is a hand-held tool. Just a thought.

Blacksheep was the first 2WD truck to get into the 9's. You can still be the first 4WD truck and first turbo truck to get into the 9's. Keep at it man, stay focused and you'll get it.

Did you try the cardboard over the grille? I ordered one of the nice stainless pieces from Putco....sure as hell hope it works!
