4x4 vs RWD for a Drag Setup

👍
denmah, in his lq4 Colorado did 1100rwhp with a stock lq4, sloppy cam, 210 injectors, s480 and 100 shot. Doesn't sound too difficult to me.

I would not trust a stock LS Iron block past 600hp for a constant beating. Gonna have to side with Rich on this one, anybody can make power but getting it to that setup to be reliable over time calls for a whole different recipe.
And don't forget to add a driver mod to the list lol all that ain't worth **** if you can't drive

I also have a 93 ls1 swapped firebird that I'm currently data logging and tuning. This car is well over 600 on a bone stock ls1 (valve springs only), with a 76mm turbo on it.
I'm not saying they can take a beating forever, but I'll find out and post about what went wrong. That's why I have back up ls engines in my garage lol.
Also, so right about driver mod!

I'll just mentioned the forged internal engine that I "wasted money on when a SBE 6.0 could make the same power" has been beat like it owes me money going on a few years now with dozens of 1000rwhp+ races with a turbo and with 800+ with a blower and nitrous. A SBE might could do that, I doubt it though, but I really dont like swapping engines.

).Granted my truck weights around 5700#. I thought with my build that I was going to see crazy track numbers out of my build. That didn't happen. It has been a slight challenge and irritating as **** sometimes, but fun along the way.

They can. Stock48, to my knowledge has been going 9s for several years now on SBE.
My setup drove just like stock and I drove it in Houston rush hour traffic in 100+ temps with A/C blasting. I wasn't making 1000 to the wheel, but it was close. I could have driven 10k miles other than the fact I got 8 mpg.
People are so fixated on running junk pump gasoline, that in my opinion is the reason you see a lot of SBE failures.

My setup was never intended to evolve into what it did.
Ideally, as Richard mentioned, you have a motor purpose built.
In a few years when I am in a better financial position, I will be building another turbo setup with the knowledge I gained.
