quick question and im totally serous. why do dodge guys continue to call their motors hemi's after the block has been altered and the rotating assm is totally different?

thats like me going and turning my block to a 383 stroker but still telling people that its a LS1

Stu can answer those ? better than i can butt i will try ,6.1 crank ,6.1 cnc big valve heads ,6.,eletric fan1 intake ,headers ,2800 stall,slicks

Hey slowhemi, I wasn't sure if that was you last nite or not. I'm the guy that had the white tundra last nite and was hanging out with eric. You had some good runs last nite, I got some of them on video, I'll upload on you tube and send you the link. Nice truck!

Yeah I ran a 13.924 @ 98.8mph, still spinning coming off the line. Gonna have to do something about that

I believe it's because the Hemi part is in the heads.

I do agree with you though, I get tired of the trucks being referred to as LS1 truck's when the LS rpo is only for car engines. Only the trucks with an LS1 in them are LS1 truck's. Some people stick to a name because it sounds cool.
