Default 01 GMC Best

i started off with the truck only having a C.A.I. and a Flowmaster, i ran a 16.4.
added a Hypertech went down to a 16. with no muffler.

i added Pacesetter L/T and ORY still having codes, i ran a 15.7
added Justin's Tune dropped down to a 15.3(not being able to get out the hole)

this is what i ran as of Saturday Night at No Problem Raceway

this is my third run of the night, but First run on the E/Ts
M.T. E/T Streets 26x10.5x16

R/T .162
60' 2.206
330 6.226
1/8 9.479
MPH 75.93
1000 12.284
1/4 14.686
MPH 93.35

Very first run on 20s with about a 15 minute wait after i got there.

R/T .354
60' 2.405
330 6.593
1/8 9.934
MPH 73.61
1000 12.792
1/4 15.196
MPH 93.67

the rest of the night i ran on the Streets and was pushing 14.7s all night except for that first run. it's time to get my new rear end.

my Mods are:
P&P T.B.
L/T
ORY
Custom Tune
C.A.I.
M.T. E/T Streets
Stock stall, rear end, tranny, internals.

Future mods:
05+ E-Fans, install my Billet Servo, 3:90 with a True Trac, under drive pullies,
E-Cut Out, then a 6.0 or 370 swap with a built trans. added with a 3000-3200 stall
if that's not enough for me, then i'll add a Meth kit, and a Turbo.

what are some other things that i can do other than a cam because i'm having a custom grind made for the 6.0 after i have enough cash saved up.

Sounds like you have your future plans laid out fairly well. Thats some damn nice times for the mods you have in a ECSB!!! Nice work.

didn't you do a 6.0 swap in your EC? i ran an ext. cab that has a 5.3 with everything i have, except he has a Billet Servo, 3:73, and a Posi. i would have beat him in the 1/4 if i wouldn't have let out in the hole because i thought i was going to spin.

here is the slip for that one:
Me Him
R/T .403 .417
60' 2.325 2.291
330 6.362 6.305
1/8 9.622 9.589
MPH 75.77 75.30
1000 12.436 12.403
1/4 14.857 14.823
MPH 92.49 92.45

I cleaned it since the pictures, but i haven't had time to get new pictures.

*ENJOY*

i need new fog lights, the clear corners need to be replaced, and the D.S. headlight needs to be fixed it has dew in it, which pisses me off because i resealed them and let them sit for 2 days before putting them on. i hand wash my truck and it ended up doing it, i don't know why.

i'm taking the back bumper off and putting a roll pan on, i just have to find one...but i'm pressed for cash right now.

*UPDATE*

Nothing major, but i've been leaving the truck parked a lot lately because of work.

I went to Tennessee and picked up a 04 LQ4 6.0 with 30k on it.
Came almost complete.

Ordered:
07 LS2 243s w/ Yellow Springs
44lb injectors
LS6 Oil Pump
LS2 Timing Chain
Electric Cut-Out
14k Tranny Cooler
VIG 3200 stall

The next thing I'll be picking up is my cam and gaskets for the whole motor. ARP Head Studs, and a bunch more ARP bolts for the top end, along with some better Main Rod bolts. Since I'm milling the heads I'll need different push rods and I'll have to pick up the right cosmetic head gaskets.

Then I'll start saving for the FLT Level 5 tranny. When I get that in and the cash for the rear end, I'll tear into the motor and get it Install ready.

I'll have a new motor/tranny/rear end by the time I'm done.

everyone is looking for 12s and such, but I'm looking for 13s and a decent D.D. because I don't want to have to work on it all the time.
the work truck will be getting my 5.3 and 4L60E rebuilt with some minor work.

but I'm hoping to get the 6.0 in and all the bugs worked out by November of next year.
I'm also looking into buying land and building a shop so the motor swap might be pushed back

on 18s yes, 20s just a bit, slicks...nope

i'll find out when i put the 6.0 and the FLT Level 5 with the 3200 stall what it'll do on a stock rear end then i'll prob. go to a 4:10 with a Detroit Tru Trac, so i might end up with 4:30s with a 30" tire or so
