Just bought this, regular member on LS1 tech. Was thinking of doing a 5.3 swap in it, but anyone have any advice on some mods I could do to this 4.0 to give it a little more, besides obvious, CAI and what have you.

Also what things should I bet checking for, truck currently has 152k miles on it, still runs perfect, just very new to Jeeps...... Help me out! LOL

 

Wow ???? No one has any imput??? Im still looking for what mods I can do to my 4.0 to add a little bit to it until i get the resources for my swap....

I took it into the mountains and it had a seriously lack of power, i mean floored iw as having trouble hitting 40 mph... I can't really do exhaust, yet, wife likes it quiet for now, what about the throttle bodies? I was looking at some billet throttle bodies that seemed like it might help a little bit and a few cam kits that were hella expensive "1200 bucks?? wtf my truck only cost 4k?"

Surely somone knows SOMETHING, don't make me go to the jeep forum, I don't want to be classified with most Jeep guys....they are as bad as the Hummer guys.. .

 

Only real way to get big power from those is to do a stroker kit along with CAI, exhaust, injectors, ect.

Or stick a Hemi in there,....

 

Dont need big power on the 4.0 just more.... And my lsx swap will be plenty of power enough to make the hemi boys cry. lol

 

Ok so now instead of making the Hemi boy's cry, I became a hemi boy.... 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland ya, it's gota hemi, and yes, I'm already looking up modding it!! LOL
