I tell ya, I never get tired of looking at that picture of your engine bay. KRC did a fantastic job!
I bought the "stock" dome crown pistons. Another member on HTC bought some but never installed. Worked out great for me, $600 shipped.
One other thing, I will plug the use of synthetic oils. The teardown showed NO wear on any of the friction surfaces, including the cylinder walls. This is after the stock pistons and rings came apart. There was also no buildup of sludge or "teflon *****" like with some early PFTB additives. AMSOIL products, including filters, will continue to be used in my engines.

I think you got your pistons from the same guy I got my krc220 cam and comp ls1 springs from. I talked to him about the pistons. LOL I'm planning to go with the dish top pistons.

As for synthetics - that's all I will run. I use Royal Purple in the motor, tranny and rear end. Love it!

Yep, same guy. I thought hard about the cam/springs but it was when the vacuum and CEL issues were still happening.
I have Royal Purple in the truck right now, hard to get AMSOIL at the parts counter. It closely matches the AMSOIL for those occasional top offs if needed. I needed a few quarts after the rings broke off and the crankcase was getting pressurized. Blew the turbo return oil out the breather vent and ALL over the engine compartment. I may stick with the RP now, they were a sponsor of the HTC G2G in June 2005.

I was thinking about pulling the 220 out and putting the turbo cam krc offers in. But after a talk with krc and with C-Motorsports we decided to advance the cam about 4 degrees and get the same result. Spools quick.

Yea- that sponsor from htc is who I get mine for. I'll run it for the life of my truck and have switched my wifes car over too.

Happy New Year!
