Default Volant CAI installed.

The intake I bought used from a DTW member arrived today, took about 10 minutes to install. I like the way it looks and I like the fact that the induction noise isn't really any louder than the stock airbox. I'll report back on any MPG or performance gains.

That looks really good, are those Dodge's really that cramped under the hood or is it just the picture angle?

Probably both! The engine actually sits about 1/2 way under the fire wall, the hood isn't real long.

Do you have any other pictures of the engine bay?
I've never seen any.

No, not really. I can take a few if you would like, more of a sideways angle would probably show more.

I don't have any tested gains on the G-tech or track yet, no. Been raining and alot warmer than it was when I ran my best G-tech to date that's in my sig.. On my butt-meter, yes! The truck has better throttle response and it get's up to speed easier when getting on the freeway during normal driving.

I've heard good things about the Volant and it looks great.

Here's a pic of my engine bay - plenty of room for new parts

Rub it in Jay, rub it in! ;-)
I noticed more power into the mid-upper RPM range, especially on hills. Not much of a fuel improvement, although it was before the SC and "learning" lockout. Speed density tuning is somewhat blind to increased airflow. Best thing for me was not replacing filters every few months, they refer to it a dustbowl here for a reason.
The intake resonator box ( says Hemi on it ) really makes it look squished, although a lot of the motor does extend back towards the firewall. Take a shot at the #5 and #7 spark plugs contorting around the brake booster. Fun!
