Default Turbo Hemi Update

Since we've decided to build the motor instead of just doing the turbo kit, running on the stock bottom end and breaking something quickly I got some pics of the mock up with the new intercooler. Lots of other stuff going in. I'll put pics of that up as we get them.

We are planning to top mount a front mount intercooler (as shown) and use the huge 440 6 pack hood scoop on my truck for cooling. We're builing a box and running water drain channels, etc in it as well as angling into the scoop and adding a NX Intercooler Chiller kit. If this doesn't work the way we plan we'll just move it to front mount but this is what KRC and I want to try first. I think it will be very effecient. And KRC has no doubts and says that this will work. I hope so- that would look pretty cool in the scoop - ic and NX nozzle and spray bar.

Anyway- enjoy and more will follow.

Lots of cars have used top mount intercoolers. I should be fine. Hurry up and set all kinds of new Hemi records.

That's going to be nice. I am really interested in the bottem end parts your getting. Nothing I can get right away but when it's time to do the heads, and possibly goto an even bigger cam shaft, I'd like to bullet proof the bottem end so I don't ever have to worry about this Tonar ring problem a few seem to be having.

the truck was gonna be detuned to 500rwhp but now that he is upgrading the bottom end it will more than likely be above 600rwhp. Its gonna make 2 great runs and then the tranny is going to explode into 2,387 different pieces. lol. Cant wait to see it Jay. (the truck, not the explosion)

What power are we looking for?? That depends on how much spray we throw on top of the boost

Internals- 6.1L forged crank, Oliver rods, Ross Pistons. I finally got the ARP main and head studs, manley pushrods and comp ti retainers going in- comp ls1 valve springs are already in it- the krc220 (220/230-547/557 114lsa) cam is in but we are thinking of swapping to the krc turbo cam (228/224-554/547 115+4).

Tranny- Soon to be in 2,387 pieces
