Default ram 4.7 help

I just got an 03 ram with 4.7. The only thing I have done is install a cat back exhaust. Any advice on cold air intake, throttle body spacers, 180 thermostat, etc would be appreciated.

Take a look at AirRam, www.airram.com they make a good CAI for the 4.7. TB spacers are a waste of space on a dodge product. There is probably a 180 stat you can get, not sure on the part number.

There is also a highout package you can get from mopar, same ones you can get on the Jeep GC and in the new dakotas.

Not a lot of 4.7L folks here, I would suggest checking www.bionicdodge.com as they have quite a few folks modding the 4.7L.

Unless you're looking for an S/C or turbo I suggest moving this to the Dodge section for a better response

BTW, welcome and good luck.

I also say check with nick at airram. He also carries power wires and scoops that fit behind the grill to push air back to the filter and it lowers underhood temps.

there are actually a few things u can do
ive heard from alot of different people that the k&n fipk cold air intake is the biggest favorite as far and performance sound and fit
throttle body spacers dont really benefit in our type of engine.. they normally only benefit in throttle body injection where the air and fuel mixture is actually effected by the tornado effect
but other mods u can go for in terms of the cheaper ones could be a bigger throttle body, intake manifold, electric fans, underdrive pulleys, headers sounds great and help a little but the stock exhaust manifold is supposed to flow great for stock
if u want to spend the extra buck u can get new camshaft and even a pcm tune or a superchip
most all of this is available through www.krcperformance.com so check them out.. theyve got alot of good stuff
hope this helps!

and as far as the thermostat u can get a 180* thermostat from napa or advanced auto parts for any 5.2l or 5.9l engine that fits with just a small modification.. u might be able to find some info on this mod on one of the dodge forums.. try dodgetrucks.org of dodgetalk.com

KRC212 cams, HO Intake, 70MM TB, headers, true-duals, Computer Flash...

Later, Supercharger... Turbo... or Nitrous..

I wouldn't waste time on spacers or droppin big bucks on a CAI. Home Depot carries pipe.
