Default Outlaw intake installed on Hemi Ram

Been awhile since I posted or thought about modding my truck, been out of the mood for some time and I'm not sure why. Anyways, installed an Outlaw intake on my 04 Hemi Ram today, got it off of Ebay for $179 w/ free shipping. Seems like a quality piece, nicely made. Was kind of a pain to install, attaching the filter to the air tube was the hardest thing, took about an hour for the whole installation. The airbox is BIG, the intake tube from the airbox to the TB is BIG, should move alot of air. The airbox looks alot like a Volant airbox but Outlaw uses a big air tube while Volant uses the Hemi Hat. Induction noise under normal driving isn't any louder than stock, and it's slightly louder than stock at WOT with a nice growl from under the hood. I didn't want an open cone intake of any brand, I only wanted one with an enclosed airbox which left me with two choices, Volant and Outlaw. Not sure about performance yet, I'll give a few hundred miles for the computer to adjust, I disconnected the battery during installation so the ECM needs to learn the new airflow. So far, seems OK.

That's pretty cool looking. Looks more like the head of a python than an outlaw.

I've always read and been told that disconnecting the battery wipes out part of the ECM's memory, doing it will let it learn a new mod faster.

I like the looks of it. Some say it's pretty plain looking but I like plain and subtle. It doesn't have to have alot of flash in my opinion, just work well which it seems to do.
