Need Some Go Fast Parts!
hey guys, I got a customer wiht a 2001 Ram with a 5.9. I need to know what kind of performance mods I need.
He's wanting a performance programmer or a chip or a tuned PCM. Anyone got any ideas on what I need to get this guy?

Now that the 5.9 is discontinued, they released the programming info for them so Superchips gets really good gains with the 5.9L. I had a mopar performance PCM on my 98 5.9, but I didn't notice much. I think it was set to work with the R/T package you can get through mopar. Get a good CAI that gets air from down low in the engine bay. 1.6 roller rockers, a beefer cam, headers and exhaust should wake that engine up some.

I had an '01 5.9 before my hemi. I bought some PPH headers from KRC Performance. I also got a B&G flash but now Superchips has tuners so I'd go with that. The 2nd biggest gaining mod (next to B&G) was Crower 1.7 roller rockers. Huge gains with those suckers. I had an airraid intake, flowmaster muffler, u/d pulley and APS 52mm tb. I also pulled the factory kegger intake off and shaved 1 3/4" off the runners and boss'd the injector area. Had 382 rwtq coming out of that sucker and towed like a diesel!
