Default N2O on a 4.7?

Question for the Dodge guys. I don't know much about your engines but...I have a buddy who has a 4.7 QC Ram 1500. He wants to get some more power of it. He is wanting to put a 100 shot on the truck. What do ya think? If you think he should go for it, answer these questions please.

1. What system are people running?
2. How do you tune for it?
3. Whats the biggest shot a Dodge truck is running?
4. Where can he get other performance parts?

I see some Ram owners talking about getting tuned and getting a cam etc...Who sells this stuff for a Ram 4.7?

Are you still running a 35 shot or have you moved up? What do you think a stock 4.7 can take? Is there ANY type of tuning out for newer Dodge trucks? Hypertech?

Nitrous on the 4.7 isnt really recommended due to the intake manifold. Your friend might be ok with a small shot, but a 100 on a 4.7 is asking for trouble. Check out this thread:

Are the intakes with the long runners the same on all 4.7's? My friend had a Ram so I don't know if would be the same as the Dakotas. These guys seem to all be running 100 shots, maybe a 50 shot would be ok?

All the 4.7s have long runner rear feed plastic manifolds. These are not suited to a carrying fuel. To do it right, he really needs direct port. The Nozzle set up from NOS would be a good choice.
