Default Going to look at an '03 Hemi RCSB tomorrow!

My Silverado costs way too much money so I'm looking to get into something else. I found a nice little '03 Dodge Ram 5.7 RCSB up in McKinney that I'm checking out tomorrow.

The truck's got a little over 71,000 miles and it's the navy blue color. I really want one in the lighter blue metallic but I'm being picky enough as it is.

I really can't argue with the $8,800 asking price... if anyone can run a CARFAX for me I'd appreciate it... the VIN# is: 1D7HA16D43J632259

Here's a pic:

I'm looking forward to tearing into the 5.7... Although the aftermarket is lacking alot on these new Hemi's as far as tuning goes.

Does anyone know the digit in the vin # for the 5.7?

I've found a ton of them locally online but most just say "8 cylinder gasoline". I dunno if its the 4.7 or 5.7... they don't include engine shots on most of them.

So you're selling your truck for $1600 and you're going to end up spending $10000 on that truck after TT&L. That seems like a great economical decision.

Sorry man, but it just seems foolish.

$16000 you know what I mean. You're probably going to lose money on your truck and only for $6000 or less depending how much you sell your truck for.

Yeah but $6000 is alot of money to me right now, I'm in college and wait tables for a living so saving $200 a month on truck expenses makes alot of sense.

How do you figure you'll be saving $200 a month on payments? What kind of loan do you currently have?

I got approved for the loan today at the credit union on the '03 Ram... it's $220/mo.

My '04 Silvy is $348/mo. and requires a $500 deductible which makes my insurance $248/mo.

The credit union also agreed to carry a $1000 deductible on the '03 which would drop my insurance to $190.

So I'd be saving $128/mo. on payments and $58/mo. on insurance... assuming it wouldn't go up with the Ram. I doubt if it would, given it's an older vehicle... what do you think? I'm calling Allstate tomorrow to get a definite figure.
