Coltsteele, Tranny question...
Hey Coltsteele, with all the power you'll be making once you get your truck back, what are you planning on doing to keep your tranny together?
Was just eyeing up Gsm's supercharger, would be great fun but not if the tranny is going to give out under the serious power increase.

I know he's got some "basic" tranny mods, ie higher stall TC, improved clutches and bands, and the Transgo shift kit. Colt will be able to tell more.
FWIW, it seems a good chunk of the tranny failures so far are linked to shifting under boost or N2O from 3-4 or 4-OD. The added torque and faster/harder shifts are causing the bands to slip and burn. Again this has been under full load mostly at 1/4 mile events where you have potential to run 100+ at WOT under full boost. "Normal" daily driving should not be a concern although some are turning off OD just to make sure.

I just saw this- sorry it took so long to reply but ktm is right about what I have right now. I've talked to xv about their 6 speed conversion kit and I talked to someone else about fitting a 727 in it. All I know is that I won't be able to use much of the boost available without worrying about it going boom
