Its been done, most gains are very minimal over the plastic eagle intake. Plus it heat soaks. The cost of doing this doesn't justify unless your running boost. Also try NADODGE.com for more mopar truck questions real good info on that site.

Try not to imply things done on 3rd Gen Rams over to the 4th Gens. 2 different motors.
6.1 intake is not worth it on 4th gen rams at all. You have to rig up fuel lines, and a intake since its different. Plus the 4th gens has short and long runners. Short runner inside work at low RPMS to give you more snappier throttle response and when you floor it the long runners open to give you top end. The gain has been minimal on dyno testing appox 5-10rwhp but the 6.1 is like only have long runners all the time so bottom end is lost which actually hurts your performance. I wouldn't even change doing forced induction unless it was a built motor and your using lots of boost. Ripp guys are making 440rwhp and 500rwtq on 8 psi on the stock intake.
Its a mod not to do. Don't touch the factory intake
