Default 5.9 tuning?

hey fellas, i have a buddy with a dakota r/t w/ the 5.9, and he wants to get into the tuning, but feels that just a programmer isn't enough, i told him about hptuners and such, but that is for gm vehicles, and i was wondering what you guys do for tuning, mail order tunes maybe? Any info would be great, and i also told him to join this site because everyone knows their **** on here. thanks.

Unless he wants to opt for a standalone system like FAST - he'll have to settle for mail-order tunes.

If he has an R/T Dakota then he should at least check out this other forum also.

Of course - they'll just give him all kinds of ideas about how to spend all of his extra money on the truck. Is that bad?

Without getting into standalone tuners, that's as good as it gets for these trucks. The PCM's used in Dodge vehicles suck, and the corporation itself has always been very unfriendly towards aftermarket tuning.
