Default 2002 5.9 What mods?

My friend has a 2002 5.9. He installed an SRT10 hood and wants to make it functional. Does it matter what CAI he uses? Also, does the throttle body spacer work on the 5.9? It doesn't on my 5.3 Chev, that's why I ask. He uses the truck for towing. What else is recommended? Headers?

The TB spacer doesn't work on the Gen III LS engines because the air and fuel is not mixed before entering the intake manifold like a carbeurated or old TBI engine. I don't know anything of the 5.9 but I would guess it is the same story.

Spacers are a total waste of money with the 5.9L V8.

The only way you can make that hood functional is to put a K&N 14" round filter on top of the engine - not too difficult, just gotta use a short filter because of the Ram's wiper cowl deck.
