Default 03 hemi ram exhaust question...

hi, i bought a set of long tube headers for my truck and was wondering what i am supposed to do about the O2 sensors, is there a way to remove them from the program of the ECU, or are there O2 "fakers" on the market for my truck? the headers and y-pipe are a cat-free design, so I need to do something...

I believe there are 02 sims that work on an 03 ram. Not sure the name of them. My headers have a cat on each one so I just plugged them into their.

I know of quite a few that have tried it.... to the best of my memory NO one has not thrown at least an occasional code.... The word I have ( such as it is, I have no way to verify it ) is that the PCM monitors for such things by throwing in a random lean or rich mixture and then will monitor the rear 02 for the appropriate signal.... if it is not there ( as in o2 sims ) then there goes the code.... it is also said that DCX spent more time on the security for the PCM than the actually programming of it! any wonder why we don't have more tuning options yet?

good point about the tuning options, so I guess I am just going to have to suck it up and run a cat with the long tubes? are there any other options?

when i had headers i just unplugged the rear o2's and went on my way - we have no inspection in sc. Now that I have the turbo and all the other stuff I'm having to plug the rear O2s up and get them back in the pipe. I've heard that you can use a plug fouler to shroud the sensor and "fool" the pcm. I've got 2 on the way for the rears, once here I'll weld the bungs on and try them. (04 has 2 fronts and 2 rears) I'll post up if they work... if they don't I'll be putting a cat in line.
