6.7 vs 5.9

Thx so much...that little Cummins has been around a long time. Seems to be tried and true. How does this hold up against that 6.7?

5.9 has more mods and is used all over the world 6.7 are nice but too expensive for mods 5.9 are all over and you can use many more programmers go with smarty and build the tranny because those always go out when u have alot of horsies

We had a 6.7 company truck tow twice what it's rated for nearly all it's life, transmission lasted till 245K miles and #6 piston went out at 264K, but the rest of the cylinders still looked really good. In my opinion, if you want the auto and tow, go 6.7 and do the deletes and you have a beast! These things tow really good and fuel economy isn't bad with the deletes on them.

Stick with the 5.9 not only because its tried and proven but for the simple fact its cheaper and you don't have to worry as much about "improving" it by removing emission devices. ie on the 6.7, to get decent mileage and performance, not void your warranty.
