Default 2006 Ram Dually Turbo Diesel: Which Chip/Programmer?

My buudy just started doing his own hot shot business and was gonna get a new muffler and chip. He tows a bunch of heavy stuff and is on the road all the time. He was wanting a nice increase in power without sacrificing reliability. He was looking at the bullydog and the superchip set-ups. Which one do you think would be best for his application? Thanks

If he's gonna be towing alot- get the Edge Juice w/Attitude. Its a bit pricey, but its on-the-fly adjustable from 50-120 hp, has saftey features which reduce power if your EGTS or boost get too high or if it sense transmission slippage. It also has a Turbo Timer which is a nice feature to help save your turbo.. The BullyDog and Superchips are nice, but the Superchips you cant adjust on the fly

I am going to have to go with the Bully Dog Triple pup w/Outlook monitor as the best setup out there. Always updateable and can go with you to the next truck. The edge is not an updateable unit. The edge is a number fudging device(yes I know the work great) where the bully dog uses software rewrite which is more consistant. I was a big fan of the edge but I love the bully dog alot more. Make sure to get the AEM Brute force stage 2 intake and a silverline 4" exhaust to go with it and it would be a great safety measure to get yourself a FASS fuel system before the factory lift pump fails(and it will) as it is great for economy, power and noise reduction in the motor! What ever you do don't get the superchips, it is too outdated compared to the other two.

I like the Edge products. We install alot of these on the Dodge, Chevy and Fords and everyone seems to love them. Also you can stack the boxes if you want some crazy power. Call our turbodiesels section to get pricing on the parts.

BTW if any of you diesel guys are in and around the NC area this weekend you should stop by Coastal Plains dragway between Jacksonville and Richlands on highway 258 on Sunday. Gates open at 12 and racing begins at 1. There will be plenty of low to mid 12 second diesels there. Maybe even some Hemi's for Hemi Killer to take on...lol.
