Default Looking for some input on a new build

First of all I am new here, so sorry f I mess anything up.

I have a 98 reg cab step side, 350 vortec matched up to a 5 speed. I will start building on it this summer starting with lowering and wheels then on to a cam and the usual bolt ons. I am curious about how well the transmission will hold up with more power or if I should consider a new one. Also does anyone make long tubes for a 5 speed? And how does everyone feel about single exhaust vs true duals? I know an ls swap would be ideal but it's just gonna have to wait till I have the money and time to do it right.

A new clutch is fine, even expected. But you had the nv3500 I assume? No rebuild on it?
