Hey guys, just picked up a 1990 c1500 with a 427 in it. It need new wheels and tires badly, so I've been searching around.

Can anyone guide me on the widest tire i can fit on the rear? Im wanting to run probably a 17 inch wheel, and wanting the widest possible tire in the rear with a slightly smaller tire up front. The truck is stock height right now but will eventually have a 2/4 drop. Thanks in advance.

 

there is a small selection of tires for 17. i would look at tires first. i had them on my 84 an got rid of them. not sure on the 90s frame, but the widest you can prob get is 295 maybe 305 depending on backspacing on the rim. hopefully someone who has your yr truck can tell you more
