I just got this 90 454SS. It has a lot of isues. lol. I want to put a carb on it later, but for right now I just want to get it drivable. I pu new plugs, wires, cap ans rotor in it. Still had problems. Put another ing module in it and it helped, but its still not right. One thing I was wondering. Can I replace the dissy with a big cap HEI? I dont much care for the computer controled ignition.

 

Replace the fuel filter and the o2 sensor. I would replace the o2 sensor with a heated one, they are more accurate. Walker 3 Wire Heated O2 Oxygen Sensor Conversion Hego | eBay

 

I put a new o2 sensor in it first thing. The old one was broke off. I tried putting a HEI in it. That was a major fail. The injectors do not get power now. Im guessing one of the plugs in the back of the distributor has something to do with that. Im going to try and find a way around that. If not a I have a 750 holley thats going on it.

 

carb it ! i carbed mine and i love it. sucks for dd with he gas prices tho... im thinking lsx swap for mine...
