You need to see if there are any codes stored. I'm sure there are if it's in limp mode. Post up any codes you have.

What harness are you using? You might have a blown fuse. Check the cig lighter fuse or power supply fuse. They usually share the same fuse as the obdII port.

+1 on checking the fuses.

Was it like this from the install or was it working fine and all the sudden happened?

I've got a harness from a 99 silverado. My buddy did most of the wiring for me. it's been doing it since i hooked it up. What should I do or check?

what size torque converter are you running? Sometimes if you have a loose converter it thinks the tranny is slipping toooo much and puts the vehicle into limp mode... it may not be your issue but this is what happened to my truck when i put my verter in...

recheck your harness and make sure you dont have any bad connections, i have a 97 and had a bad connection which put my tranny in limp mode and by the time i could get down the road to my house, my tranny was pretty damaged, well it was burning clutches before that so i knew i was going to have to rebuild it anyways, so i am actually waiting on my rebuild kit at the moment but im going to have to check ever single wire in the harness
