Hi guys. I put a 5.3 into my 83 lwb and I can't find an alternator bracket. I was wondering if there was a place that fabbed these up or where i can buy an oem one. I've contacted a couple of local junkyards and they don't have any. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Have you tried making a wtb thread in the classified section yet?

 

I sure have, but I can't because of the great rule #3 in the sticky.

ask the junk yards for a "powersteering bracket" perhaps? it's the same bracket.

Hey I've got a dumb question, but I'm a newb so... are the brackets that are on the ls1's the same as whats on the 5.3 vortec motors?
