Default Gauge upgrades?

Hey, '91 GMC 1500 here. Want to upgrade my gauge cluster. It's boring. Will be doing '411 TPI pcm swap soon and purchasing efi live, so I have some flexibility (i think).

Anybody done anything? I'm looking at S10 clusters and just wondering if I can make a bracket system or something to make it look like it's the stock gauge cluster, or at least close enough. S10 clusters are cheap... oh man are they cheap, and have nice looking gauges and needles with a tach... my truck doesn't have a tach right now and that depresses me.

i was looking into the same thing earler last year. decided not to mess with it. i have a 91 and wanted needle gauges. you can get some that fit right in from a 94 or 95 i believe? only thing is the harness is different and you have to modify yours to work with the newer style gauges. just be sure the dash is the same style as yours and it will go right in (other than the wiring). there used to be a write up on how to do it on a truck website. might try to search it on google. they make white faces and everything for those style gauges thats why i wanted to go with them, give it a more modern look and change things up. i never got around to it tho and now im running a carb so ill prolly build a custom gauge cluster anyway
