Default exhaust

I built a 383 stroker motor for my 91 C1500 and im looking at getting new exhaust. I'm thinking 3" with an xpipe and my current super 44 flowmaster mufflers. I have headers with a 3" collector and right now i just have 2.25 in exhaust true duals with super 44 flows and dumps off the mufflers. Its not too loud but sounds good. Would 3" pipe and an x pipe make it louder? I want it to sound good so what do yall recommend? Whats the best sounding muffler and what size exhaust do yall think i need and w/ or w/o an xpipe? Anyone have any sound clips of there 383's?

3" should be louder. I believe the X-pipe will just change the tone. Running without cats increases volume as well. I had Spintech mufflers on my 99 SS and liked them. I would use them again.

maybe u should try the magnaflow race series mufflers, they are 6inches long so i'd figure they would be louder and still carry a magnaflow sound.... maybe
