Default Bed swap

A month or so ago I picked up an 83 long bed truck for free. The lady just wanted it gone so I took it. Only catch is that it had no bed. The truck was bought by her husband just for its bed for his current truck. So here I sit, a truck with no bed. My father in law has a bed off a mid 90s truck. My question is a) will this bed bolt up to the 83 mounts, b) how bad are the body lines not going to match up, c) has anyone actually done this if it cant be done. I know that ill have to reqwire the tail lights. Im gonna put a rollpan on if it works, so im not worried about that.

The 90 model bed will not directly bolt up to the 83 frame because in 88 gm redesigned the frames moving the rails farther apart to allow the gas tank to be installed inside the frame. However 73-87 beds will.
