now be for i start i did use the search and it didnt come back with anything helpful to me. with that being said, I have a 98 4 door hoe that i want to swap out the 350 for an lq9 i can get the motor w/ harness and pcm/ecu for a good price. now ive read that some go with the 4l65 and others 4l80 i dont know which would be better. i dont know what else i wound need to get. also has any one done this on an obs?

I have. If you want your transmission to live get the 80e. With the heavy trucks, the 65 and 60e can't take the abuse the ls motors throw at it.
