The gen 3 engine harnesses are very easy to convert to a standalone setup, I found tons of useful wiring harness info over at lt1swap.com.

Your gonna need a wiring diagram specific for your truck, so you can connect the outputs from the new pcm to your guages, aldl, fuel pump relay, check engine light,brake switch, cruise control, and etc.
