Sub'd, thinking of maybe making this leap myself on my short bed. Would definitely be interested in a price break down and step by step since you know have some experience with this.

I will do my best to do a step by step on this. I'm starting this Saturday. Your price break down is going to very a LOT based on the eng/trans set up you buy.

The only extra things I have purchased are the engine mount adapters, higher pressure fuel pump, 2 - 3/8's tube to 6AN male fittings, 1 ft of stainless steel braided aeroquip 3/8's hose with hose 6AN female hose ends, a Corvette style fuel filter.

Part Numbers from Summit Racing:
2- 6AN male SUM-2200077B
2- 6AN female SUM-220690
1- 3/8's SS hose SUM-G1001
1- Corvette Filter WIX-33737
1- Pair adapters TRD-4595
1- Fuel pump ATX-E3270

This list of parts is specific for my swap, based on the material still on my engine that was left by the salvage yard.

Getting more excited. I might have a lead on a 98 Camaro LS1 6spd for $1000. Friend of a friend. Supposedly the car has major electrical problems and wrecked, but still runs and drives.

My 89 2wd short bed is already sitting apart. I will be studying closely.

Got some work done with help from my buddy Josh!

Enjoy

Had a guy come and hear the old engine run, he's gonna take it, so thats a major win for $$ back in the bank That is why the trans cooler and radiator are still in place.

My wife and boy where gone today at a Chirstmas cookie deal with the Fam, ( girls only ) so my brother inlaw and I spent some time pulling it apart some more. Removed the exhaust, drive shafts, front accessories, and the harness from the eng and trans.

If' I would of had another 2 hours the old "boat anchor" would have been on the floor.

Next steps,

Remove t-case shifter linkage and t-case, then pull the eng/trans and spray down the engine bay with simple green!

I think shorts sell new for like $129 from summit. Maybe $75. My wife had a wreck in a friends car this weekend, so it might be a week or 2 before I can scare up the money, but if you want to sell them PM me.

Wish I could afford to buy the whole motor. My truck has 300K on it right now.
