Default 66 SWB traction problems.

My dad has a 66, stock bottom end 350 with vortec heads, thumpr cam, th350 with 2800 stall, 3.73 rear welded up and 29.5x10.5 slicks running high 13s and is spinning 75% of the time at the line. He is switching to drag radials, m&h 275/60-15s so he doesn't have to swap wheels when he takes it to the drag strip. His suspension is bone stock, with the coil spring truck arm setup, so for Christmas I am going to buy him some 90/10 front shocks and box in his truck arms. Anything else we can do for cheap to help him hook up?

lower it, all around, and stiffen up the front and soften the rear. with a 3/4 ton spring with a coil cut off, and a 2.5" spindle. for the rear get a set of 3" drop springs, 2" lowering blocks, and a bolt in notch. will help transfer weight to the rear

also get some adjustable truck arm mounts so you can play with the antisquat that is built into the truck arm design
