i know this is old but id rather bring it back from the dead. i myself would like to run a 6.0 but the advantages of the alum block helpin me shed weight would be sweet also. im looking for around 550 wheel with nitrous. shouldnt this be easily had with a ls1 with soem rod bolts?

i say get whichever motor you can find for the cheapest. 550 is doable with a ls1 and nitrous. i put down 409 on motor. its doable with a 6.0 too.

I am running a LQ4 with a small cam, headers and a MP 122 supercharger through a 4L80E in my 47. Runs good with about 9 psi. with 4.10s I get about 17 mpg at 70 mph. Truck weighs 3200.6.0 or ls1?-47-chevy96.jpg

how can you tell the difference from a lq4 and lq9 by not taking the heads off?
