ive read that the 80E yokes(that slips into the transmission) is bigger than the 60E yokes. theres a u-joint that allows you to swap yokes without having to cut the drive shaft. or did i forget to read the rest of the post and its actually a u-joint for the rear of the drive shaft when you change it to run a bigger diameter drive shaft on a 10 bolt.(like you just said)

Sorry... too many sites to keep up with. As for my truck, new owner to settle up payment next Wednesday. Will try to get a good burnout video before he gets it though. If anyone's around Laredo, look out! 'Tis where it's going!

lol You gave me the link on ls1truck.com I have a thread going on all 3 sites now. First I have to get the stance of the pickup corrected. I am lookin for a set of leaf springs at the moment. The ones on my pickup have either been swapped for 4wd or rearched. the rear of the pickup is about 3 ft off the ground.....and the djm 5inch drop will not be near enough for my taste. I got the djm 5/5 drop with coils/spindles/flip kit. I'm goin to try and get it all installed this weekend along with P.S.T Polygaphite bushings and sway bar. Also ordered a ton of parts from LMC. They are to blame for the draining of my daughters college funds.......

I picked up a lq4 short block up. sent it off to get bored, crank polished, and all new bearings. still undecided on going the 370ci or 408ci route. will definately be using l92 heads and intake. along with a cable tb.

plans for this winter are to pull the ole wore out 305 out, all new wiring for the lights, and putting the truck back to primer. Taking along time to get things done because when i'm busy i dont have time. and when im not busy i'm broke.

I'm curious if anyone has used caltracs with a flip kit on these trucks? and if so, are you happy with the results and can you please give me a part number?
