1995 s10 5.3 change over
I have a 1995 s10 with a 350 tbbi 5sp and I am going to put a 98 ext 3rd on my frame and change it over to run a 5.3 auto. Does anybody have any reral facts on what will work and what wont. I have heard you can use the 98 and newer harnes. I have heard from other that you have to use a pre made harness.

you can use any harness you want if you can wire. The difference in the harness from cars and trucks is the injector plugs are different. If your using a 5.3 obviously the easiest thing would be to get the harness from that engine or another 5.3 so you dont have to mess with harness plugs. If you can't get a pcm from a vehicle with a 5.3 then get a 0411 pcm and reprogram is to an 02+ f-body OS and just make sure you pin the harness to match the 99-02 fbody harness/pcm.
