Great project! I'm a sucker for these trucks you mentioned swapping a 4l80e in the future. How is the different transmission going to line up with the drive shafts and T-case? Is an adapter necessary to mate the NP205 to the 80e?

The adapter for a np205 is silly expensive. So we are lookin for a NP241 passenger drop.
Same xcase im using in my samurai behind a 60E.

Of course DShafts will have to be made. We just made the stock ones work for now.
The th350 is dying, it didnt want to shift the other night. And now it only has 1st. It died mighty fast, not sure it lasted thru 2 tanks of gas.

My mind is a bit fuzzy here. Are you looking for a transfer case to put behind the 80 or the 60.

I have a buddy with a ton of K10-K30 parts. He will likely have a transfer case you need either way.

Since you said 241 I am thinking one for behind the 60. I am thinking that the popular one to back the 80 would be a 208, since it was the one that came from behind the 400.

I am going to bed, my brain is about to shut off and is struggling with all these numbers. I will check for your reply in the morning and see what my buddy has for you.

Doings a swap soon brother and I liked your build, though a tad bit limited in detail. I shot you a pm as well. I am working on my wiring harness myself until my 6.0 gets here. Was going to use the original th350 but figured I may want to do a 4l60e. Wanted to pick your brain:

Best engine mounts to use to avoid cutting the frame?
With the 4l60E is their an aftermarket mount needed?
Do I have to cut the driveshaft?
More details on your wiring harness relay lesson in simplicity
