Yep, solid axles with leaf springs are definately better for real off-road situations than an IFS truck.
But I did build a IFS Geo Tracker that did really well off-road. Once I got the front diff figured out(stockers break really easy when you go airborne), I logged quite a few air miles. lol
Of course, it did have a cage. Pic....

Speaking of a cage, thats next on the list when we work out any bugs and get new suspension under it.
Get that thing out of the shop amd startin on the big v8 samurai! A heated/cooled shop is just awesome!

Thats at my buddys shop, its small but its heated/cooled so its nice.
Its more of a play toy than a mud toy, its gettin a 2 or 3" lift since the 30 year old springs are sagging bad.
They are Fbody headers.

Oh ill update.
He still has to hook up the wideband.
Its got a walbro 340? Its the next size up from the 255.
But its inline, drawing fuel from the factory hose in the tank then to the corvette regulator/filter on the firewall.
