Yeah, I guess I'm not good at describing what I'm asking. I have 2 ecm's, one is NIB, one is original to my engine. I can put any vin into either ecm, as I work at a GM dealer and can use the off-board programmer to program them easily.

Back to the main question, the 94 4l60e is the same as a 2002 4l60e except for the PWM solenoid and corresponding fluid circuits. If I put a 2002 harness and PWM solenoid in the transmission, is there a way to program it with HP Tuners to basically nullify the usage of the PWM for the TCC since it still has the on/off TCC solenoid? I understand if you have no experience with it. I'm trying to be a cheap *** and not get another trans. I'm thinking I'll just do it, see what happens, and then report back here and LS1tech my findings. All I'll be out is a $60 harness and $40 solenoid. If it doesn't work, I'll just sell the rebuilt 94 4l60e to try and recoup my investment in it.

Just a guess here.... you'll have much better luck starting a new thread in the appropriate forum location instead of asking this question in this random area thread thats been running for a year and a half with 180+ posts. Juuuust a guess.

Well, I've done that on other forums and always gotten the 'just use a PWM transmission' line every time. I was just asking if someone local had any ideas or not. If I don't get an answer, I'm not really out anything. Plus, I'd much rather chat with someone local than someone 3000 miles away. Local people are usually nicer.....

I would agree, local people are usually nicer. Area47 will help you out if he has an answer. But, this isn't other forums. Ask the question in the GM transmission section and you'll get a great answer, probably from more than one person. There are some serious experts in here and you need to post such a technical question in the appropriate section to get the best answer. Seriously, this isn't like "other" forums, guys know their ****. If someone gives a BS response, other guys will step up answer or at least tell you about wrong information. Just copy and past your previous posts into a new thread and you'll get the correct answer. Start your thread by saying your new here and they'll be even nicer than local guys!
