Just wondering if anyone on here is from the IL/IA area? I am in the quad cities right on the river. I know there's people from Chicago but thinking farther West.

Also, anyone know of any get-togethers?

I'm probably roughly 2 hours south of you then???... I'm 2.5 hours from Naperville taking the interstate straight shot. I'm probably 3 hours from downtown.

 

Cool man. I was thinking a IL meet would be cool you know. Dont think there are many of us which could be a problem

 

maybe we should just try to get something going... There's a Chevy Nationals show about 45 minutes south of me in my hometown in Monmouth, IL. My mom has an inground pool and 10 acres right on the interstate. Her property is about .25 miles from the McD's where everyone hangs and about a half mile from where everyone parks for the cruise night. We could take our trucks/cars down to the show and maybe bring tents? The cars just line up the streets in my small hometown of 10k ppl, but it's a real fun event. There were about 1300 cars last year and they are mainly street rods and some performance trucks. It's the first Friday night in August.

 

actually, if there weren't too many of us we could just crash there in my moms house. she has a big home but i guess it would all depend on a few things... she'd be down for it as long as nobody gets too crazy... she has all new hardwood floors and everything. Always nice to bring a tent though because we could have a bonfire and stuff too.

cool. well my mom said if we want to bring tents and camp out sounds great to her. I guess it all comes down to how many want to come and if we want to do anything besides the cruise night. The car show is on saturday morning and held another town over.
