Default Programmer for '08 DMax

I know this has probably been beat to death somewhere, but I can't find it. If there's a current thread related, please guide me to it. I have an '08 DMax 3/4 ton 4X4. I'm looking for more MPG plain and simple. What's the best available for best effeciency? Help appreciated

have you done a intake or exhaust first? I read that the banks intake picks up some mpg..

As for mileage programmer they all work good. Id do the PPE.. just becuase if you want to get crazy every now and then you put the hot file in and go play lol... I think they are adding like 600lbtq now in the hot setting... but im sure you know all programmers can / will void warranty..

Getting rid of the DPF will be a huge gain no doubt. Personally, I wouldnt look anywhere else other than EFILive. You can get someone to tune it for whatever you want, fuel mileage or full drag race tune. If you must have a hand held tuner, Id go with PPE.

Like Jakebrake said, PPE is the BEST handheld tuner hands down, dont mess with anything else handheld, Shifts great also.

But A custom EFI live tune is your best bet, you can have 5 tunes made that will make you really love that Dmax, From towing tunes to MPG tuning and street play tuning for pesky mustangs

Also No need to replace intake on the 06 up trucks, they are excellent.

STAY AWAY from OVERPRICED BANKS stuff!!!!

X2 banks stuff sucks! I have the PPE right now but from 8 days from now i will be switching to EFI live and having a 40, 90, 110, and 200 HP tune at my disposal!
